A REGIÃO DE PREAMAR ATÉ DEZ METROS
A plataforma continental possui uma vasta distinção de tipos sedimentares em decorrência das distintas fontes, origem, transporte e mecanismo de deposição. As amostras coletadas nos 15 pontos amostrais distribuídos entre a plataforma continental e a isóbata de dez metros, foram submetidas aos processos laboratoriais do estudo sedimentológico no Laboratório de Oceanografia Geológica do Instituto de Ciências do Mar (LABOMAR) da Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC). A classificação sedimentológica está intrinsecamente ligada à posição geográfica dos sedimentos na plataforma continental interna nas áreas das Unidades de Conservação APA Costa das Algas e RVS de Santa Cruz até a isóbata de -10 metros. Foram registradas as ocorrências de fragmentos de carapaças de organismos marinhos dos Filos Bryozoa, Molusca e Foraminífera, além de fragmentos de alguns minerais como quartzo, feldspato e alguns pesados.
A classificação sedimentológica, envolvendo os parâmetros granulometria, teor de carbonato de cálcio e grau de seleção dos grãos, está intrinsecamente ligada à posição geográfica dos sedimentos na plataforma continental interna nas áreas das Unidades de Conservação APA Costa das Algas e RVS de Santa Cruz até a isóbata de -10 metros. Nas proximidades das desembocaduras dos rios da região, os sedimentos denotam um caráter mais fino, diferente de outros setores do levantamento.

Abstract:
The continental shelf has a vast distinction of sedimentary types due to the different sources, origin, transport and deposition mechanism. The samples collected at the 15 sampling points distributed between the continental shelf and the 10 meters isobath were submitted to the laboratory processes of the sedimentological study at the Geological Oceanography Laboratory of the Institute of Marine Sciences (LABOMAR) of the Federal University of Ceará (UFC). The sedimentological classification is intrinsically linked to the geographic position of the sediments on the internal continental shelf in the areas of the Conservation Units EPA Costa das Algas and Santa Cruz WLR up to the isobath of -10 meters. The occurrences of fragments of carapace of marine organisms of the Filos Bryozoa, Molusca and Foraminífera were recorded, as well as fragments of some minerals such as quartz, feldspar and some heavy ones.
The sedimentological classification, involving the parameters granulometry, calcium carbonate content and degree of grain selection, is intrinsically linked to the geographic position of the sediments on the internal continental shelf in the areas of the Conservation Units Costa das Algas EPA and Santa Cruz WLR to the isobath of -10 meters. In the vicinity of the mouths of rivers in the region, sediments show a finer character, different from other sectors of the survey.
