A PRÁTICA DA TUTORIA COM FOCO NA IMPORTÂNCIA DO PAPEL DO TUTOR PARA CURSOS À DISTÂNCIA: IDENTIFICANDO AS SUAS PRINCIPAIS FUNÇÕES
A presente pesquisa se caracteriza como um estudo bibliográfico, baseado em uma abordagem qualitativa, realizada através de consultas a artigos científicos disponíveis em plataformas que abrigam materiais científicos de Pesquisadores do Brasil e de Portugal, objetivando refletir sobre a prática da tutoria, com foco na importância do papel do tutor para cursos à distância, identificando as suas principais funções, na orientação de alunos em cursos on-line para o acompanhamento e desenvolvimento do processo de ensino e aprendizagem. Com esse intuito, o presente artigo está estruturado da seguinte forma: inicialmente, faz-se uma abordagem com o objetivo de conceituar o termo tutor. Em seguida, traz-se um breve estudo sobre os tipos de tutores, destacando o tutor presencial e o tutor à distância. Complementar a esse estudo, na sequência, aborda-se o papel do tutor de cursos à distância, e para finalizar, faz-se um estudo sobre as principais funções do tutor de cursos na modalidade educação a distância. Durante a pesquisa, foi possível perceber que o tutor a distância desempenha um papel de fundamental importância no processo de ensino e aprendizagem, considerando que suas atribuições se confundem com as obrigações do professor. Sendo assim, o tutor assume diferentes papeis como orientador, mediador, comunicador, organizador das atividades pedagógicas e entre outras atribuições.

Abstract:
This research is characterized as a bibliographic study, based on a qualitative approach, carried out through consultations with scientific articles available on platforms that house scientific materials from researchers from Brazil and Portugal, aiming to reflect on the practice of tutoring, focusing on the importance of the tutor's role for distance courses, identifying their main functions, guiding students in online courses to monitor and develop the teaching and learning process. With this in mind, this article is structured as follows: initially, an approach is made with the objective of conceptualizing the term tutor. Then, a brief study on the types of tutors is presented, highlighting the face-to-face tutor and the distance tutor. Complementing this study, the role of the tutor of distance courses is approached, and finally, a study is carried out on the main functions of the tutor of courses in the distance education modality. During the research, it was possible to perceive that the distance tutor plays a fundamental role in the teaching and learning process, considering that their attributions are confused with the teacher's obligations. Thus, the tutor assumes different roles as advisor, mediator, communicator, organizer of pedagogical activities and among other attributions.
