A FISIOTERAPIA EM UMA INSTITUIÇÃO DE LONGA PERMANÊNCIA PARA IDOSOS
A compreensão da fisioterapia no cotidiano dos idosos em uma Instituição de Longa Permanência para Idosos (ILPI) visa a melhoria da qualidade de vida dos residentes, na medida em que são observadas disfunções motoras que acometem os idosos, advindas de patologias como Acidente Vascular Cerebral (AVC), a paralisia cerebral e a incidência de quedas. O objetivo deste trabalho é compreender a contribuição da fisioterapia no cotidiano dos idosos em uma ILPI. A metodologia utilizada para realização deste relato de experiência foi através de entrevista semiestruturada. Analisando as informações coletadas na entrevista, foi constatado que a principal demanda da fisioterapia na instituição é a reabilitação de residentes com sequelas de acidente vascular cerebral (AVC) e a manutenção das atividades de vida diária (AVD).

Abstract:
The understanding of physiotherapy in the daily life of an elder in a resting home institution (RHI) aims to improve the life quality of the residents as it was noticed motor dysfunctions accrued to illness such as cerebrovascular accident (CVA), cerebral palsy and the incidence of falls. The study sought to understand the contribution of physiotherapy in the daily life of the elderlies in a resting home. The methodology used to carry out this report of experiment was a pre-defined interview. Analyzing the information collected in the interview, it was found that the main demand of physiotherapy is the rehabilitation of residents with CVA sequels and the maintenance of daily activities (DA).
