A FINITUDE EM TEXTOS NARRATIVOS PARA CRIANÇAS
Nesse capítulo é analisado a temática morte presente nos textos narrativos para crianças. Foram analisadas três obras: Só um minutinho: um conto de esperteza num livro de contar (2006), de Yuyi Morales com tradução de Ana Maria Machado; Pode chorar, coração, mas fique inteiro (2020), de Glenn Ringtved, com tradução de Caetano W. Galindo e Contos de enganar a morte (2003), de Ricardo Azevedo. Quanto ao referencial teórico nos valemos de Philippe Ariès, com a obra A história da Morte no Ocidente (2012), na qual é abordado o processo sócio histórico da morte no Ocidente da Idade Média até o Século XX, e de Lucélia Elizabeth Paiva com A arte de falar da morte para crianças (2011). Também foi utilizado o Dicionário de Símbolos (2006) de Jean Chevalier e Alain Gheerbrant para interpretar os símbolos presentes nas narrativas que representam a finitude.

Abstract:
This chapter analyzes the theme of death present in narrative texts for children. Three works were analyzed: Just a minute: a tale of smartness in a story book (2006), by Yuyi Morales with translation by Ana Maria Machado; You can cry, my heart, but stay whole (2020), by Glenn Ringtved, with translation by Caetano W. Galindo and Tales of cheating death (2003), by Ricardo Azevedo. As for the theoretical framework, we use Philippe Ariès, with the work A História da Morte no Ocidental (2012), in which the socio-historical process of death in the West from the Middle Ages to the 20th century is approached, and Lucélia Elizabeth Paiva with A art of talking about death for children (2011). The Dictionary of Symbols (2006) by Jean Chevalier and Alain Gheerbrant was also used to interpret the symbols present in the narratives that represent finitude.
