Abstract: Psychology as a set of practices and field of knowledge carries a history of normative and normalizing practices, associating itself with the individual’s duty to adapt to a system that oppresses him. This purpose is put in check from the reflection of the category about its objectives and performance, activity that culminates in the construction process of the social commitment of Psychology. Ethics in Psychology is based on continuous reflections about the field and its practices as the professional category turns to the demands of society, which implies the analysis of the dynamics in which oppressive practices are inserted. In this sense, it is possible to make a parallel with the work of the philosopher Martin Buber, who analyzes the types of relationships that are and that can be established in the social set from the principle words I-Thou and I-It. Thus, this text proposes to contribute to the debate of the ethical-political commitment of Psychology through the analysis of ethics in the professional practice of the psychologist in the light of the work I and Thou, by Martin Buber. To this end, a bibliographical and documental review of materials that address the theme is used in order to analyze the conceptual crossings between reflections on ethics in Psychology and the work of Martin Buber. It results from the proposed reflection of the need to denaturalize values as universal in the hopes of understanding the dynamics that underlie the processes of exclusion; the analysis of the types of relationships involved in professional practices; and encouraging action based on critical reflection on the field. It is concluded that, based on Buber's postulations, an ethical performance in Psychology can only exist in I- Thou relationships.
