Abstract: Objective: to analyze, through an integrative literature review, the role of nursing in assisting burn victims, highlighting the practices and contributions to qualified care. Method: This is an Integrative Literature Review. The search was carried out in May 2025, in the Virtual Health Library (BVS), PubMed and Capes Periodicals, using the descriptors selected in the Health Sciences Descriptors (DeCS): “Burns”, “Nursing Care” and “Burn Unit” and also selected in the Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) for the international database: “Burns”, “Nursing Care” and “Burn Units”, all using the Boolean operator "and". Eighteen articles were selected. Results: Caring for burn victims requires preparation from nursing and, mainly, from the nurse, who assesses the patient, plans and implements care and estimates the results due to its complexity. Care planning ratifies individual, humane and welcoming care, providing quality in patient therapy. Conclusions: It is concluded that nursing care for burn patients requires integrated actions, based on technical-scientific knowledge, use of technologies, humanized sensitivity and specific skills. The systematization of care, combined with continuing education and production of evidence, contributes to the qualification of care and better clinical and psychosocial outcomes.
