Abstract: Professional and Technological Education (PTE) plays a fundamental role in promoting racial equity and reducing structural inequalities in Brazil. However, challenges such as the underrepresentation of Black and Indigenous students, institutional barriers, and Eurocentric curricula still hinder the inclusion and retention of these groups in the educational system. This study aims to analyze how PTE can serve as a tool in combating structural racism by identifying challenges and proposing strategies for a more equitable education. The research is based on a literature review of studies on ethnic-racial relations and educational policies, highlighting the need for anti-racist curricula, qualified teacher training, and effective affirmative actions. The expected results emphasize the importance of strengthening public policies that ensure not only access but also the retention and professional advancement of Black and Indigenous students, consolidating PTE as a space for social transformation and the fight against structural racism.
