A EDUCAÇÃO INFANTIL EM MUNICÍPIOS COM ALTOS IDEBS NO NORDESTE: AS CONCEPÇÕES DOS GESTORES ESCOLARES
O efeito da exposição à Educação
Infantil no desempenho escolar posterior
do aluno vem sendo discutido por muitos
especialistas que apontam uma relação entre
o bom desempenho das crianças no Ensino
Fundamental e a sua passagem pela Educação
Infantil. Esse estudo analisou as falas em três
grupos focais formados por gestores e técnicos
de escolas com altos IDEBs. A análise dos
resultados colocou em evidência concepções
de Educação Infantil e de suas funções. Foi
observada uma predominância da compreensão
de que a Educação Infantil é uma etapa
preparatória para o desempenho posterior das
crianças.Como conclusão, o estudo aponta que
o grande desafio no contexto atual de definição
de políticas e programas é definir o foco do
atendimento educacional para essa faixa etária,
respeitando suas especificidades na forma de
ser e entender o mundo e sua participação ativa
como produtora de cultura e de conhecimento.

Abstract:
The effect of exposure to early
childhood education on the student’s subsequent
school performance has been discussed by
many experts who point out a relationship
between the good performance of children in
elementary school and their passage through
early childhood education. This study analyzed
the speeches in three focus groups formed
by managers and technicians from high IDEB
schools. The analysis of the results highlighted
the conceptions of Early Childhood Education
and its functions. A predominance of the
understanding that Early Childhood Education
is a preparatory stage for the children’s
subsequent performance. As a conclusion,
the study points out that the great challenge
in the current context of defining policies and
programs is to define the focus of educational
care for this respecting their specificities in the
way of being and understanding the world and
their active participation as producer of culture
and knowledge.
