A DITADURA CIVIL-MILITAR E A EDUCACAO NA BAHIA: CERCEAMENTO POLÍTICO E CONTINUIDADE DO PENSAMENTO LIBERAL DE ANÍSIO TEIXEIRA E NAVARRO DE BRITTO
Esse texto tem como objetivo
apresentar as propostas apresentadas e
desenvolvidas por esses dois intelectuais,
considerando as nuances presentes em
cada contexto, trazendo para o debate o fato
de que foram eles os sistematizadores da
política educacional baiana do século XX
entre continuidades e repressões, chegando
à atualidade como intelectuais que ainda
influenciam a educação do Estado. As incursões
na pesquisa, com fontes documentais em
acervos públicos e privados, que realizamos
sobre a história e política educacional na
Bahia, nos indicaram que a partir da primeira
metade século XX, dois intelectuais – sendo
eles: Anísio Teixeira e Luís Navarro de Britto
compuseram o cenário estadual conduzindo,
elaborando e sistematizando políticas
educacionais que reestruturaram a educação
em dois contextos aparentemente paradoxais.
Atualmente, o resultado apresentado pela
Comissão Nacional da Verdade apontou para
o fato de que Anísio foi assassinado pelo grupo
civil-militar que comandava a nação na década
de 1970, Navarro de Britto também foi afastado
da Bahia considerado subversivo enquanto era
Secretário de Educação do Estado, passando
a atuar fora do país. Interessante verificar
que mesmo após o afastamento de ambos os
expoentes da política educacional baiana do
século XX, do cenário político, social, cultural,
suas ideias não foram alteradas por quem
assumiu suas posições, pelo contrário, foram retomadas e ampliadas, chegando até
os dias de hoje adaptadas ao nosso contexto sem sofrer rompimento.

Abstract:
This text aims to present the proposals presented and developed by
these two intellectuals, considering the nuances present in each context, bringing to
the debate the fact that they were the systematizers of Bahian educational policy of
the twentieth century between continuities and repressions, reaching the intellectuals
that still influence the education of the State. The research inquiries, with documentary
sources in public and private collections, that we conducted on educational history
and politics in Bahia, indicated that from the first half of the twentieth century, two
intellectuals - Anísio Teixeira and Luis Navarro de Britto composed the state scenario
leading, elaborating and systematizing educational policies that restructured education
in two apparently paradoxical contexts. Currently, the result presented by the National
Commission of Truth pointed to the fact that Anísio was assassinated by the civil-military
group that commanded the nation in the 1970s, Navarro de Britto was also removed
from Bahia considered subversive while he was Secretary of State Education , starting
to operate outside the country. It is interesting to note that even after the removal of
both exponents of the Bahian educational policy of the twentieth century, from the
political, social and cultural scene, their ideas were not altered by those who assumed
their positions, but instead were resumed and extended until the days adapted to our
context without suffering a break.
