A DEMOCRATIZAÇÃO DA ESCOLA PÚBLICA E CONSTRUÇÃO DA CIDADANIA ATRAVÉS DOS CONSELHOS ESCOLARES: UMA EXPERIÊNCIA NO MUNICÍPIO DE ÉRICO CARDOSO – BAHIA
Com este trabalho pretendeu-se
compreender o que é a Gestão Democrática
na escola e tentando perceber os impactos dos
conselhos escolares, a partir das experiências
vivenciadas pelos munícipes da cidade de
Érico Cardoso - Bahia. Para tanto, realizou-se
um trabalho de cunho qualitativo, com pesquisa
de campo. Nesta pesquisa um professor e
um aluno foram entrevistados, ambos fazem
parte dos conselhos escolares na cidade lócus
da pesquisa. Os conselhos escolares são
fundamentais para o processo de democratização
da escola, nele, todos os envolvidos na escola
são convidados a participarem das tomadas de
decisões sobre os rumos que a escola deve
tomar, descentralizando o poder da gestão,
porém sem que o diretor perca o lugar de líder,
mas ressignificando essa função. Os conselhos
trouxeram aos conselheiros o sentimento de
pertencimento e responsabilidade.

Abstract:
This work aimed to understand
what is Democratic Management in school and
trying to perceive the impacts of school councils,
based on the experiences experienced by the
citizens of the city of Érico Cardoso - Bahia. For
that, a qualitative study was carried out, with
field research. In this research a teacher and a
student were interviewed, both are part of the
school councils in the city of the research. School
councils are fundamental to the process of
democratization of the school, in which all those
involved in the school are invited to participate
in decision making about the direction the
school should take, decentralizing the power of
management, but without the director losing the
place of leader, but redefining this function. The
councils brought to the counselors the sense of
belonging and responsibility.
