A ATUAÇÃO DO FISIOTERAPEUTA NA MINIMIZAÇÃO DOS EFEITOS COLATERAIS DE PACIENTES EM TRATAMENTO QUIMIOTERÁPICO
O profissional fisioterapeuta tem a formação para atuar no tratamento de reabilitação de capacidade física, na prevenção de lesões ou até mesmo desenvolvendo atividades que promovam o bem-estar do paciente, e também, tem sido aplicado na recuperação de pacientes com câncer. Através dessa intervenção, o profissional auxilia no tratamento do paciente desde o pré até o pós-cirúrgico, na radioterapia, na hormonioterapia e na quimioterapia. Portanto, o objetivo deste trabalho foi mostrar a importância de um fisioterapeuta no auxílio do paciente com câncer, a fim de evitar e tratar os seguintes efeitos colaterais: dor, limitação de movimentos, dificuldades respiratórias, retrações cicatriciais, fraqueza muscular e linfedema. A metodologia utilizada foi a de revisão de artigos científicos, realizando busca através de plataformas de pesquisa relacionadas com o tema. Como resultado final foi possível demonstrar que a fisioterapia surge com a função de preservar, manter e restaurar a integridade cinético-funcional dos órgãos e sistemas do paciente oncológico, bem como de prevenir os distúrbios causados pelo tratamento da doença, sendo a cinesioterapia recomendada pela maioria dos autores pesquisados.

Abstract:
The professional physiotherapist has the training to act in the treatment of rehabilitation of physical capacity, in the prevention of injuries or even in developing activities that promote the well-being of the patient, and also, it has been applied in the recovery of patients with cancer. Through this intervention, the professional assists in the treatment of the patient from pre to post-surgery, in radiotherapy, hormone therapy and chemotherapy. Therefore, the objective of this work was to show the importance of a physiotherapist in helping cancer patients, in order to avoid and treat the following side effects: pain, limited movement, breathing difficulties, scar retractions, muscle weakness and lymphedema. The methodology used was to review scientific articles, conducting searches through research platforms related to the topic. As a final result, it was possible to demonstrate that physiotherapy has the function of preserving, maintaining and restoring the kinetic-functional integrity of the organs and systems of the oncological patient, as well as preventing disorders caused by the treatment of the disease, with kinesiotherapy being recommended by the majority of the researched authors.
