Abstract: This study aims to analyze the role of pedagogical coordination in the continuing education of high school teachers, emphasizing its contributions to teaching practices. The research, of a qualitative nature, was conducted through a bibliographic review, focusing on academic production from 2015 to 2024. Based on the analysis of six scientific articles, challenges and possibilities were identified in the formative function of the pedagogical coordinator, highlighting the importance of mediation between theory and practice, active listening, and participatory planning. The results indicate that, although there are structural and cultural barriers in public schools, pedagogical coordination can play a strategic role in promoting reflective and collaborative practices, provided there is institutional support and specific training. It is concluded that strengthening a culture of continuous training, articulated with the school's political-pedagogical project, is essential for the professional development of teachers and for improving the quality of high school education.
