Abstract: Anxiety disorders are highly prevalent and significantly impact people's functionality and well-being. This study conducts an integrative review of the literature on the efficacy of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in the treatment of anxiety disorders, taking into account and comparing its practical diversity. The methodology included a search in the BVS and PubMed databases, selecting articles published between 2022 and 2024 that were controlled clinical trials. The search resulted in 22 articles that were analyzed regarding the efficacy of CBT in different modalities (group, individual, remote, in-person) and compared to alternative practices such as yoga. The results indicated that CBT is effective in reducing anxiety symptoms, regardless of the modality used. Both group and individual CBT showed similar efficacy. The remote modality was also found to be as effective as the in-person modality. Comparing CBT and yoga, both demonstrated similar performance in reducing anxiety symptoms, highlighting the importance of patient engagement for treatment success. Treatment duration was another determining factor for efficacy, with better results observed in long-term treatments. The conclusions reinforce the efficacy of CBT in the treatment of anxiety disorders and suggest that flexibility in CBT application can improve accessibility and treatment outcomes. Health professionals should consider different CBT modalities to optimize intervention, taking into account the patients' needs and limitations.
