PLAGUICIDAS más UTILIZADOS en la AGRICULTURA PANAMEÑA y VERTIDOS por ESCORRENTÍA DESDE FUENTES TERRESTRES no PUNTUALES a RECURSOS HÍDRICOS
En la presente revisión bibliográfica se valora el nivel de información existente para determinar los plaguicidas más utilizados en el territorio nacional, así como los efectos de estos para la salud y el medio ambiente haciendo énfasis en el proceso de contaminación de las fuentes de abastecimiento de agua al entrar en contacto con el ciclo hidrológico a través de la lixiviación. Transportándose dentro del mismo por medio de las aguas superficiales y subterráneas llegando de esta forma a los seres humanos a su vez, se evalúa el mayor caso de contaminación del recurso hidrológico por plaguicidas en Panamá en los últimos diez años mostrando un análisis de los datos obtenidos por diferentes instituciones que tomaron el caso como objeto de estudio comparando los resultados obtenidos con las normas establecidas de calidad de agua para el consumo según entidades internacionales.
Además, se plantean alternativas como objeto de investigación a futuro buscando la disminución del uso de plaguicidas en la región y por lo tanto la mitigación de los efectos que el uso de estos conlleva.

Abstract:
In the present bibliographic review, the level of existing information is evaluated to determine the most used pesticides in the national territory as well as the effects of these for health and the environment, emphasizing the process of contamination of the sources of water supply to the get in contact with the hydrological cycle through leaching. Transported within it by means of surface and groundwater thus reaching human beings in turn, the largest case of contamination of the hydrological resource by pesticides in Panama in the last ten years is evaluated by showing an analysis of the data obtained by different institutions that took the case as object of study comparing the results obtained with the established norms of water quality for consumption according to international entities.
In addition, alternatives are proposed as an object of future research seeking the reduction of the use of pesticides in the region and therefore the mitigation of the effects that the use of these entails.
