Sustainable productive opportunities for tourism in rural communities in southern Campeche

• Abstract:

  Escárcega has a variety of tourist resources that have not been used efficiently, which is why a mixed research study with a descriptive approach was developed, in which a cluster sample was determined using the questionnaire (questionnaire) carried out in eight communities whose main activities are livestock, agriculture, beekeeping, and trade, among others, which are located in the south-southeast of the municipality of Escárcega. The aim was to detect, understand, and determine why the tourism resources derived from these activities have not been exploited as a source of income.
