LOS SISTEMAS CONSTRUCTIVOS TRADICIONALES. CONOCIMIENTO Y APROPIACIÓN COMO FACTOR DE PREVENCIÓN DE RIESGOS EN LAS CONSTRUCCIONES
Desde los grupos prehispánicos que habitaron lo que hoy conocemos como Colombia, hasta las construcciones actuales rurales y urbanas, son ejemplo de cómo los seres humanos nos adaptamos a un territorio, identificando técnicas y materiales adecuados a condiciones que mitigan los riesgos de su entorno. Este conocimiento, transmitido de generación en generación, enriquecido sobre la base de un sistema de ensayo y error, la sobrevivencia a desastres naturales, tecnológicos, la violencia, el desplazamiento, entre otros, en muchos casos no documentada; nos muestra ejemplos ingeniosos, prácticos y acertados al lugar en que se inserta, en contraste con la imposición de sistemas constructivos foráneos, que generan conflictos con el medio ambiente y con la apropiación cultural, desplazando conocimientos que permiten una adaptación al lugar en condiciones desde el desierto de la Guajira hasta la humedad del pacífico, la selva de la amazonia y las cadenas montañosas y volcánicas de los Andes. En este contexto, conocer las técnicas tradicionales a profundidad nos permite entender cómo materiales tomados del medio pueden con soluciones simples pero eficientes, darnos grandes lecciones de construcción. Pretendemos con este artículo, compartir nuestra experiencia, resultado de proyectos de investigación, publicaciones y el trabajo profesional, en especialidades como la restauración y la patología de la construcción; con el objetivo de contribuir al conocimiento y la conservación del patrimonio tangible en el urbanismo y la arquitectura que aún existen, e intangible en el conocimiento de los habitantes de nuestro territorio que continúan estas tradiciones.

Abstract:
From the pre-Hispanic groups that inhabited what we know today as Colombia, to the current rural and urban constructions, are examples of how human beings adapt to a territory, identifying techniques and materials suitable for conditions that mitigate the risks of their environment. This knowledge, transmitted from generation to generation, enriched on the basis of a trial and error system, the survival to natural and technological disasters, violence, displacement, among others, in many cases undocumented; shows us ingenious, practical and successful examples in contrast to the imposition of foreign construction systems, which generate conflicts with the environment and cultural appropriation, displacing knowledge that allows an adaptation to the place in conditions from the Guajira desert to the humidity of the Pacific, the Amazon jungle and the mountain and volcanic chains of the Andes. In this context, knowing the traditional techniques in depth allows us to understand how materials taken from the environment can, with simple but efficient solutions, give us great lessons in construction. With this article, we intend to share our experience, the result of research projects, publications and professional work, in specialties such as restoration and construction pathology; with the aim of contributing to the knowledge and conservation of tangible heritage in urban planning and architecture that still exist, and intangible in the knowledge of the inhabitants of our territory who continue these traditions.
