In this article we explore the possibilities of the ChatGPT® generative AI chatbot for language teaching and learning. Furthermore, we also present debates and disadvantages of ChatGPT®. Finally, we present the digital skills that teachers and students need to use this chatbot ethically and effectively to support language learning.
