Abstract: 3D printing has emerged as an innovative tool in surgical anatomy, allowing the creation of customized models that enhance anatomical understanding and preoperative planning. This integrative review, based on studies published between 2015 and 2025, identified broad applications of the technology, including anatomical models, surgical guides, customized implants, and surgical simulations. The literature demonstrates benefits such as greater surgical precision, better visualization of complex structures, support for medical training, and potential to improve clinical outcomes, especially in areas such as orthopedics, neurosurgery, and colorectal surgery. Although promising, the technology still faces limitations, such as costs and the need for greater realism in the models. Despite these challenges, there is growing acceptance of 3D printing and its consolidation as an essential tool for anatomical teaching and contemporary surgical planning.
