SÍNDROME DE DOWN E DESENVOLVIMENTO HUMANO: UMA ANÁLISE DO FILME “CITY DOWN A HISTÓRIA DE UM DIFERENTE”
Muito se tem refletido e escrito sobre
a importância da superação dos problemas
relacionados à inclusão e aceitação da pessoa
com síndrome de Down na sociedade. Retomar
estudos sobre o assunto deve estar sempre
na ordem do dia, afinal de contas temas como
“inclusão”, “aceitação”, “desenvolvimento
humano” “pessoas com deficiências” estão
sempre a trazer novas indagações passíveis
de grandes e contínuas reflexões. Diante disso,
objetiva-se analisar e discutir o conteúdo do
filme City Down a história de um diferente. Em
se tratando da metodologia, esta produção
textual se apresenta como pesquisa narrativa
qualitativa, exploratória e descritiva. Concluise
que a análise do filme possibilitou uma
articulação reflexiva entre a realidade do
desenvolvimento humano da pessoa com
síndrome de Down com sua inserção nos mais
diversos ambientes. Verificou-se também no
filme que as relações estabelecidas dentro e
fora do ambiente familiar foram mais inclusivas
e promotoras de desenvolvimento humano
quanto menor o grau de preconceito existente
nos ambientes transitados pelos atores. Como
se sabe o desenvolvimento humano da pessoa
com síndrome de Down, assim como de qualquer
outra pessoa, ocorre no contexto individual,
familiar, profissional, comunitário e social e o
referido filme evidencia bem isso ao retratar o
tempo todo as relações que se estabelecem
entre os personagens nestes ambientes.
Portanto, os processos de desenvolvimento
humano da pessoa com síndrome de Down
estarão tanto mais próximos da efetivação dos
direitos de cidadania quanto mais sua inclusão
e aceitação na sociedade forem garantidas e
defendidas.

Abstract:
Much has been reflected and
written about the importance of overcoming
the problems related to the inclusion and
acceptance of the person with Down syndrome
in society. Resuming studies on the subject
must always be on the agenda, after all topics
such as "inclusion", "acceptance", "human
development", "people with disabilities" are always bringing new inquiries that can be
large and continuous reflections. Faced with this, aims to analyze and discuss the
content of the film City Down the story of a different. In terms of methodology, this
textual production presents itself as a qualitative, exploratory and descriptive narrative
research. It is concluded that the analysis of the film made possible a reflexive
articulation between the reality of the human development of the person with Down
syndrome and its insertion in the most diverse environments. It was also verified in the
film that the relationships established inside and outside the family environment were
more inclusive and promoting human development, the less the degree of prejudice in
the environments transited by the actors. As we know the human development of the
person with Down syndrome, as well as of any other person, occurs in the individual,
familiar, professional, community and social context and this film evidences this well
when portraying all the relations that establish between the the characters in these
environments. Therefore, the human development processes of the person with Down
syndrome will be so much closer to the realization of citizenship rights that the more
their inclusion and acceptance in society will be guaranteed and defended.
