Abstract: The capuchin monkey, whose scientific name is Sapajus libidinosus, belongs to the phylum Chordata. The vast majority of these species are in a state of extinction due to the loss of their natural habitat due to human interactions with urbanization and forest destruction. The destruction of its habitat can harm the interruption of gene flow, cause genetic depression by inbreeding, among other aspects of habitat fragmentation. It is known that the Central Nervous System organizes itself according to the external stimulus it receives, reproducing the structure of the environment. In the Nervous System of primates, behavior, whatever it may be, is organized in a neural network, maintaining control and maintenance of body balance, posture and muscle tone. From this context, this study aims to carry out a bibliographic review on the evolution of the capuchin monkey, from the observation of its behavior in groups, analyzing the affectivity and sociability factors with emphasis on the set of elements prescribed in the brain region.
