Abstract: Cryptophlebia ombrodelta Lower, 1898 (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae) is an Australian insect considered one of the main pests of macadamia nut crops abroad, where it is known as macadamia nut borer (MNB). Its main damages to this nut crop occur on fruits and nuts under development, with harvest losses of up to 60% already reported. Cryptophlebia ombrodelta also attacks legumes and fruit crops, including Citrus sp. This insect has been an Absent Quarantine Pest (AQP) in Brazil since 2007, and its presence in planted areas of macadamia in Hawaii, USA, intensifies the need for preventive strategies against its introduction in Brazil. The present study presents the territorial zoning map of Brazilian areas favorable to the AQP C. ombrodelta, considering national areas with the presence of eight host crops. Data on planted areas with these crops were retrieved from IBGE databases and from the Brazilian Macadamia Nut Association. Areas abroad with records of the occurrence of C. ombrodelta were identified on international literature for the use of the Ecological Niche Modelling GARP/OpenModeller, which enabled the identification of Brazilian areas favorable to this insect. Subsequently, the information was made available on ArcGis in order to present the data crossing with the planted areas of the host crops considered. The resulting territorial zoning map identified 650 Brazilian municipalities, distributed in 113 microregions of 16 federation units, suitable for the AQP. This outcome contributes to public policies of phytosanitary defense focusing on preventive alerts and monitoring.
