Abstract: Spodoptera littoralis Boisduval, 1833 (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) is a polyphagous moth and an absent quarantine pest (AQP) in Brazil, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa). Among the host crops attacked by S. littoralis abroad are various that are present in the country, including macadamia nut crop, which is also one of the minor crops. Therefore, considering the risk of entrance of this insect in Brazil, it is necessary to prospect the national areas for the preventive monitoring actions considering a potential need of control to subsidize public policies of National Crop Protection. This study presents the Brazilian territorial zoning map of favorable areas for the AQP Spodoptera littoralis, focusing on places with at least one of its 49 hosts present in the country. The Ecological Niche Modeling GARP/Openmodeller was used to identify the Brazilian areas favorable for the insect, based on data of its occurrences abroad and information on national climatic factors retrieved from BDMET/INMET. Geoprocessing techniques in GIS ArcGIS, using the national territorial grid (IBGE), were applied to create a zoning map from overlaying national areas apt for the insect (GARP) with the locations of national planted areas (retrieved from IBGE) with at least one of the 49 hosts. The zoning map revealed favorability for the AQP S. littoralis in 5509 municipalities, across 555 microregions of the 27 federal units, primarily located in the Northeastern, Southeastern, and Southern regions of the country.
