XILOTECA DO CENTRO ESTADUAL DE EDUCAÇÃO PROFISSIONAL DO SEMIÁRIDO COMO INSTRUMENTO DE EDUCAÇÃO AMBIENTAL
RESUMO: Xiloteca é o nome dado a coleções de madeiras organizadas em um determinado espaço, destinadas a estudos e pesquisas na área florestal e tecnológica visando contribuir com o conhecimento e registro da diversidade de espécies características de ecossistemas e ecorregiões. Este trabalho teve como objetivo apresentar a coleção de madeiras pertencente a xiloteca do CEEP SEMIÁRIDO, com vistas a divulgar seu acervo e contribuir com o registro da biodiversidade espécies de madeiras encontradas no Território do sisal. O acervo foi iniciado mediante estudos da biodiversidade do Bioma Caatinga e aplicada a teoria, pediu-se para os alunos que trouxessem amostras lenhosas de espécies vegetais existentes em suas propriedades. As amostras foram identificadas por literatura especializada, devidamente etiquetadas com seus respectivos nomes vernaculares e científicos, serradas em representantes medindo entre 10 e 15 centímetros, conservando a casca e suas texturas características. Atualmente, o acervo de madeiras do CEEP Semiárido é composto por 53 espécies de madeiras distribuídas em 25 famílias de frutíferas, nativas e adaptadas encontradas no semiárido da região sisaleira. Assim, a construção e ampliação desse acervo acaba por fomentar ações educativas sobre a importância de se conhecer a vegetação local, sua preservação e uso sustentável.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT: Xiloteca is the name given to collections of wood organized in a given space, destined to studies and research in the forestry and technological area aiming to contribute to the knowledge and registration of the diversity of species characteristic of ecosystems and ecoregions. This work aimed to present the collection of wood belonging to the xiloteca of CEEP SEMIÁRIDO, with a view to disseminate its collection and contribute to the registration of biodiversity species of wood found in the Territory of sisal. The collection was initiated through studies of the biodiversity of the Caatinga Biome and applied the theory, students were asked to bring woody samples of plant species existing on their properties. The samples were identified by specialized literature, duly labeled with their respective vernacular and scientific names, sawn in representatives measuring between 10 and 15 centimeters, preserving the bark and its characteristic textures. Currently, the wood collection of CEEP Semiárido is composed of 53 species of wood distributed in 25 families of fruit trees, native and adapted found in the semiarid region of the sisaleira region. Thus, the construction and expansion of this collection ends up promoting educational actions on the importance of knowing the local vegetation, its preservation and sustainable use.
