Abstract: Students are heterogeneous in their own teaching and learning processes. The traditional education system alone does not account for this variation and fails to engage students during the learning process. Furthermore, contemporary students and educators are immersed in a technological society, where various changes have occurred in both interpersonal relationships and the way cognitive learning processes take place in the face of exposure to screens of devices such as smartphones and digital and social media content. Virtual gamification is an emerging inclusive teaching methodology. There are few studies on platforms and applications with explicit pedagogical potentials. This study used virtual gamification to create inclusive gamified activities in the teaching of science and biology at CAp-UERJ for neurodiverse students (ASD, ADHD, and dyslexia) in Basic Education. The pedagogical potentials of the Wordwall application were explored. CAp-UERJ has several projects that operate in Basic Education and in initial and continuing teacher education, aiming to connect research, teaching, and extension. This institute has a project that works with virtual gamification and demonstrates that this methodology is a motivational and inclusive tool. However, these are emerging and initial areas that need more practical and theoretical applications.
