WATERWHEEL: LOW COST ALTERNATIVE FOR PUMPING WATER IN THE SETTLEMENT SERRA VERDE IN BARRA DO GARÇAS - MT
Resumo: Este projeto teve como objetivo desenvolver um sistema de bomba roda d’água de baixo custo e fácil montagem, instalação e manuseio. A bomba foi construída com conexões de PVC e as rodas d’água com pneus, tábuas, e plástico de galões de Arla. Foi elaborado também um manual ilustrado, de fácil entendimento, explicando todas as etapas de construção da última versão da roda d’água. Ao final, foi realizado um curso livre da construção e instalação da roda d'água no assentamento Serra Verde visando capacitar os assentados.

Abstract:
Abstract: This project aimed to develop a low cost waterwheel pump system that is easy to assemble, install and handle. The pump was built with PVC connections and the waterwheels with tires, planks, and Arla gallon plastic. An easy-to-understand illustrated manual was also prepared, explaining all the steps of the construction of the latest version of the waterwheel. At the end, a free course of the construction and installation of the water wheel in the Serra Verde settlement was held, aiming to training the settlers.
