Abstract: Vitamin D supplementation in postmenopausal women is recognized as an effective strategy for preventing osteoporosis and promoting bone health. This scientific review explored clinical studies and therapeutic innovations, highlighting the positive effects of vitamin D on bone mineral density, muscle function, and fracture risk reduction. Different supplementation forms were analyzed, including calcifediol, fortified foods, and combinations with calcium and vitamin K. The study revealed that bioavailability, delivery format, and continuity of treatment are key factors for effectiveness. The research also pointed out the role of functional foods and gut microbiota in calcium absorption, broadening the nutritional intervention approaches. It is concluded that vitamin D is a key element in the care of postmenopausal women and should be integrated into multidisciplinary strategies and public health policies.
