VISIBILIDADE E IMPACTO DO PROGRAMA DE EDUCAÇÃO TUTORIAL DA ENGENHARIA DE ALIMENTOS NA GRADUAÇÃO
O Programa de Educação Tutorial (PET) caracteriza-se por grupos de discentes organizados a partir de cursos de graduação, sob a orientação de um professor tutor. O PET atua na tríade do ensino, pesquisa e extensão e possui como um dos principais objetivos a realização de atividades extracurriculares complementares à formação acadêmica visando a modernização e melhoria dos cursos de graduação. Sendo assim, o objetivo deste estudo foi quantificar o impacto do Programa de Educação Tutorial, a partir de uma pesquisa piloto realizada pelos grupos PET - Engenharia de Alimentos, PET - Engenharia Química, PET – Conexões de Saberes - SAP e PET - Gestão Ambiental da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande - FURG, em seus respectivos cursos de graduação. Para a realização da pesquisa foi aplicado um questionário contendo oito perguntas a uma população total de 369 respondentes, sendo destes 65 alunos do curso de Engenharia de Alimentos (EA). Com relação à ciência e conhecimento do PET, 95,8% total e 100% EA responderam que conheciam o programa e a maioria dos respondentes considerou que o PET era importante para a graduação (92,8% total e 95,4% EA). Além disso, grande parte dos estudantes participam das atividades promovidas pelos grupos PET (85,5% total e 87,7% EA), sendo as palestras a atividade com o maior percentual de participação com 38,8% total e 32,9% EA. Desta forma, conclui-se que os estudantes conhecem e consideram o PET importante para a graduação, assim como, possuem amplo interesse nas atividades desenvolvidas pelos grupos.

Abstract:
The Tutorial Education Program (PET) is characterized by groups of students organized from graduation courses, under the guidance of a teacher tutor. PET acts in the triad of education, research and extension and has as one of its main objectives the accomplishment of extracurricular activities complementary to the academic formation, aiming the modernization and improvement of the graduation courses. Therefore, the objective of this study was to quantify the impact of the Tutorial Education Program, based on a pilot research conducted by the groups PET - Food Engineering, PET - Chemical Engineering, PET - Knowledge Connections - SAP and PET - Environmental Management of the Federal University of Rio Grande - FURG, in their respective undergraduate courses. A questionnaire containing eight questions was applied to a total population of 369 respondents, 65 of whom were students of the Food Engineering (EA) course. Regarding the science and knowledge of PET, 95.8% total and 100% EA answered that they knew the program and the majority of the respondents considered that PET was important for graduation (92.8% total and 95.4% EA). In addition, most students attend the activities promoted by PET groups (85.5% total and 87.7% EA), with the lectures being the activity with the highest percentage of participation with 38.8% total and 32.9% EA. Thus, it is concluded that the students know and consider PET important for the graduation, as well as they have a wide interest in the activities developed by them.
