Abstract: Introduction: People with disabilities are more susceptible to violence, estimating a 50% higher probability of violence in this group. Objective: To identify the frequency of recurrent violence in people with disabilities and the factors associated with this condition based on the cases reported between 2011 and 2018 in the state of Espírito Santo. Methodology: cross-sectional study. Data were extracted from the Notifiable Diseases Information System (SINAN) of the state of Espírito Santo and made available by the State Department of Health. The dependent variable is recurrent violence (yes/no). As independent variables: characteristics of the victim, the aggressor and the event. Statistical tests were performed using Stata 14.0. Results: between 2011 and 2018, there were 617 cases of recurrent violence against people with disabilities (P: 68.4% CI95%: 65.9-70.9). Females have 17% more frequency of this event when compared to males. Elderly people with disabilities are also more prevalent victims of repeated violence (PR: 1.25; 95% CI: 1.10-1.41). This injury was repeated 47% more times at the victim's residence (95% CI: 1.25-1.73). Conclusion: the profile of a group vulnerable to repeated violence is observed, as well as the profile of aggressors, and the home as the most prevalent space for this abuse.
