VIOLÊNCIA DOMÉSTICA E TERCEIRA IDADE
O presente trabalho tem por objetivo
discutir sobre a violência contra mulher
apresentando uma conceituação teórica
sobre o tema, bem como sua relação com o
púbico feminino da terceira idade. O trabalho
se propõe a investigar a visão das mulheres
idosas sobre si mesmas, sua relevância
social e autovalorização, o papel da mulher
na sociedade atual bem como suas próprias
vivências e dificuldades ao longo da vida por
meio de um questionário aplicado em um
Centro de Convivência da Terceira Idade
na cidade de Catalão-GO. O questionário
constitui-se de seis questões fechadas aplicado
em 44 mulheres idosas com idade acima dos
45 anos. Os resultados mostraram que 54%
das idosas já sentiram ou viveram algum tipo
de violência, 45% disseram que já se sentiram
desvalorizadas por serem mulheres idosas e
55% não, 59% responderam que acham que
as mulheres não tem o mesmo espaço social
que os homens e 80% disseram que o papel da
mulher não é o de somente ser dona de casa
e não ter crescimento profissional. Também
observa-se que 56 % das idosas tiveram
oportunidades para crescimento profissional e
educacional enquanto 40 % se dedicaram só à
família, e por fim, 86% afirmaram que as leis e
mudanças ao longo do tempo foram relevantes
e tem feito a diferença para as mulheres. A
partir do levantamento de dados, foi realizada
uma roda de conversa a fim de que sejam
esclarecidos os direitos das mulheres, gerando
uma consciência crítica e informativa.

Abstract:
This study aims to discuss violence against women presenting a theoretical
conceptualization on the subject, as well as its relation with the female pubic of the third
age. The study aims to investigate the vision of older women about themselves, their
social relevance and self-worth, the role of women in today’s society as well as their
own experiences and difficulties throughout life through a questionnaire applied in a
Center for Coexistence of the Third Age in the city of Catalão-GO. The questionnaire
consists of six closed questions applied in 44 elderly women over 45 years old. The
results showed that 54% of elderly have felt or experienced some kind of violence, 45%
said they have felt undervalued because they are elderly women and 55% no, 59% said
they think women do not have the same social space that men and 80% said that the
role of women is not just to be housewife and not to have professional growth. It is also
observed that 56% of the elderly had opportunities for professional and educational
growth, while 40% were dedicated only to the family, and finally, 86% stated that laws
and changes over time were relevant and have made a difference to the women. As
a result of the data collection, a round of talks was held to clarify the rights of women,
generating a critical and informative awareness.
