Abstract: Student support has become a strategic priority for higher education institutions, especially given the increasing academic, emotional, and social demands placed on students. This study analyzes the relationship between the Institutional Tutoring and Mentoring Programs at UAMVZ-UAZ through a qualitative document analysis and a systematic comparison with recent scientific literature. The findings demonstrate that the integration of both programs effectively combines academic monitoring and socio-emotional support, enabling more timely, relevant, and tailored interventions to meet students' actual needs. The identified operational mechanisms include regular meetings, standardized reports, case studies, feedback surveys, and joint training, which serve as cornerstones for improving early detection, strengthening inter-program coordination, and promoting collaborative practices. The study concludes that the tutoring-mentoring integration fosters student retention, academic performance, and a sense of belonging, although areas for improvement remain in continuous assessment and the use of technological monitoring tools, this analysis provides documentary evidence that can serve as a basis for strengthening comprehensive support models in higher education institutions.
