VIDA, OBRA Y LEGADO DE JACQUES MARITAIN PARA CONSTRUIR UNA SOCIEDAD FRATERNA Y LA PAZ
El presente artículo es fruto de una ponencia dictada en el II Congreso Latinoamericano por la Paz en la UCSS (Universidad Católica Sedes Sapientiae). En cuanto a la metodología utilizada, se sigue los métodos deductivo, histórico y comparativo. Para ello, una ayuda fue la doctrina proveniente de Maritain. Se tomó como referencia la división en tópicos y, especialmente, en tres partes para resaltar su vida, su obra y su legado. En 1947, Maritain participó de la Asamblea de la Unesco y su discurso presentó un rumbo por ser seguido en el futuro documento de la ONU. Presidió, también, el comité que preparó la Declaración Universal de los Derechos humanos-ONU, promulgada en 1948. Maritain ayudó a la construcción de muchos conceptos que componen el derecho en el espacio público en la actualidad. Un derecho imbuído de una función promocional al respeto de la dignidad de la persona humana.

Abstract:
This article is the result of a lecture given at the Second Latin American Congress for Peace - II ConPaz; First Symposium: Courtesy, Integrity and Good Service to the Public and Second Conference: E-Justice Latin America, to promote Justice and Peace, at UCSS - Catholic University Sedes Sapientiae, Lima North, Peru, from September 06 to 08 2017. The methodology used was followed by the deductive, historical and comparative methods. In order to do so, it was used the aid of the doctrine, notably that of Maritain. It was taken as a reference the division into topics and especially in three parts to highlight his life, his work and his legacy. In 1947, Maritain participated the Unesco Assembly and his speech presented a course to be followed in the future UN document. He presided over the committee that prepared the Universal Declaration of Human Rights - UN, promulgated in 1948. Maritain helped in the construction of many concepts that make up the law in public space today. A right imbued with a promotional function to respect the dignity of the human person.
