Abstract: The growing demand for water, combined with the degradation of water source quality, especially in urban centers, has intensified concerns about the sustainability of water resources. Thus, this study aims to evaluate the feasibility of implementing a rainwater collection system at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Pará (IFPA), Conceição do Araguaia campus, aiming at technical and economic solutions to reduce drinking water consumption and promote water sustainability at the institution. The methodology included the characterization of the study area, calculation of monthly and annual water demand for toilet flushing, obtaining climate data via satellite (CHIRPS) and simulation of the system in the Netuno software. The results indicated that, considering a lower reservoir of 25,000 liters and an upper reservoir of 6,000 liters, the system could meet 29.66% of the demand, resulting in an average daily saving of 6,179.10 liters of drinking water. The implementation of the Rainwater Harvesting System (SAAC) at IFPA Campus Conceição do Araguaia has proven to be a viable and sustainable alternative for reducing drinking water consumption and preserving water resources, providing environmental and economic benefits, in addition to promoting sustainable practices in the institution.
