VERIFICAÇÃO DO TEOR DE ÁLCOOL 70 % (p/p) DE AMOSTRAS MANIPULADAS E INDUSTRIALIZADAS
O álcool 70% (p/p) ou 77% (V/V), possui grande importância no controle de infecções em serviços de saúde, já que o mesmo possui propriedades microbicidas. Tem sua indicação como antisséptico em caso de uso tópico, para desinfecção quando aplicado sobre superfícies ou objetos e também como solvente. Sabe-se que existem fatores que podem comprometer a qualidade do produto, como por exemplo a concentração diferente da indicada, estocagem em locais com temperatura e umidade elevada, entre outros. Torna-se então necessária a verificação do teor alcoólico real dos álcoois. Logo o estudo teve como objetivo verificar o teor alcoólico de álcoois 70% (p/p) manipulados e industrializados, adquiridos no município de Canoas-RS e verificar se as mesmas correspondem a concentração em rótulo declarada. Foram adquiridas 05 amostras manipuladas e 05 industrializadas, no período de maio de 2016, sendo escolhidas de forma aleatória. O teor alcoólico foi determinado pelo método do alcoômetro. Verificou-se que as amostras manipuladas não apresentaram resultados satisfatórios, estando todas abaixo dos parâmetros. Já as industrializadas tiveram melhores resultados. Levando-se em conta os resultados obtidos das amostras manipuladas, acredita-se que estão adotando o critério de preparação para volume/volume, porém estão usando o percentual indicado para a técnica peso/peso, já que para a preparação do álcool diluído é facultado adotar tanto o critério volumétrico (V/V), quanto o critério ponderal (p/p). Caso a farmácia opte por manipular pela técnica de (V/V), ela deverá fazer a correção do teor para 77% (V/V) e jamais utilizar a proporção de 70%, que é recomendada para a preparação por p/p.

Abstract:
Alcohol 70% (w/w) or 77% (V/V), it has great importance in the control of infections in health services, since it has microbicidal properties. It is indicated as an antiseptic in case of topical use, for disinfection when applied on surfaces or objects and also as a solvent. It is known that there are factors that can compromise the quality of the product, such as the concentration different from that indicated, storage in places with high temperature and humidity, among others. It is then necessary to verify the actual alcoholic content of alcohol. Therefore, the study aimed to verify the alcohol content of 70% (w/w) alcohols manipulated and industrialized, acquired in the municipality of Canoas-RS and verify that they correspond to the declared label concentration. 05 manipulated and 05 industrialized samples were acquired, in the period of May 2016, being chosen at random. The alcohol content was determined by the alcoholometer method. It was verified that the manipulated samples did not present satisfactory results, being all below the parameters. The industrialized ones had better results. Taking into account the results obtained from the manipulated samples, it is believed that they are adopting the criterion of preparation for volume / volume, however they are using the percentage indicated for the weight / weight technique, since for the preparation of diluted alcohol it is provided adopt both the volumetric criterion (V/V) and the weight criterion (w/w). If the pharmacy chooses to handle the (V/V) technique, it should correct the content to 77% (V/V) and never use the 70% ratio, which is recommended for preparation by (w/w).
