VERIFICAÇÃO DE MUDANÇAS NO EQUILÍBRIO POSTURAL APÓS REABILITAÇÃO VESTIBULAR
A vertigem é um sintoma que se
constitui na forma mais frequente de tontura
caracterizada por sensação de rotação no
ambiente, podendo causar desequilíbrio.
Estudo de série longitudinal constituído por
4 pacientes com idade entre 45 e 64 anos,
sendo 2 do gênero masculino e 2 do gênero
feminino com diagnóstico de Disfunção
Vestibular e hiperreflexia bilateral no exame
de vectoeletronistagmografia (VENG),
encaminhados para Reabilitação Vestibular
no Centro de Pesquisa em Ciências da Saúde
da Universidade Pitágoras UNOPAR. Todos
os pacientes foram submetidos ao teste de
equilíbrio por meio de uma Plataforma de
Força nas posições bipodal e semi tandem
com olhos abertos antes e após o termino
do procedimento proposto para a terapia de
Reabilitação Vestibular. Para a terapia foi
usado Protocolo de Cawthorne e Cooksey com
terapias semanais no período de dois meses.
Todos apresentaram melhora significante nos
parâmetros estabilométricos (área do Centro
de Pressão, deslocamento total e velocidade
mediolateral) sugerindo maior estabilidade
corporal após desempenho da terapia de
Reabilitação Vestibular.

Abstract:
Vertigo is a symptom that is the
most frequent form of dizziness characterized
by a sensation of rotation in the environment,
and may cause imbalance. A longitudinal
series study consisting of 4 patients aged 45 to
64 years old, 2 male and 2 female patients with diagnosis of Vestibular Dysfunction
and bilateral hyperreflexia in the VTE exam, sent to Vestibular Rehabilitation in the
Research Center in Health Sciences of the University Pitágoras UNOPAR. All patients
were submitted to the balance test by means of a Strength Platform in the bipodal
and semi tandem positions with open eyes before and after the end of the proposed
procedure for Vestibular Rehabilitation therapy. For the therapy, the Cawthorne
and Cooksey protocol was used with weekly therapies in the two-month period. All
presented a significant improvement in the stabilometric parameters (Pressure Center
area, total displacement and mediolateral velocity) suggesting greater body stability
after performance of Vestibular Rehabilitation therapy.
