VELHOS DILEMAS, NOVOS PARADIGMAS: OS IMPACTOS DA DIGITALIZAÇÃO DE DOCUMENTOS EM PESQUISAS SOBRE A DITADURA MILITAR BRASILEIRA
Trabalhar com documentos referentes à ditadura militar brasileira nunca é uma tarefa simples. Queimas de arquivo, apropriação de fontes pelas famílias de militares e de vítimas da repressão, materiais de um mesmo conjunto espalhados por diferentes acervos, legislação que limita o acesso a determinados documentos, registros fragmentários e incompletos, entre outros fatores, são algumas das dificuldades enfrentadas por historiadores e historiadoras envolvidos em pesquisas dentro da temática – além ainda das questões éticas comuns à História do Tempo Presente e ao trato com memórias sensíveis. Este cenário já conhecido desperta novos paradigmas quando inserido dentro da atual realidade das mídias digitais, com as alterações no armazenamento e compartilhamento de arquivos em decorrência do crescente número de acervos digitalizados que vêm surgindo nos últimos anos, sejam aqueles iniciados pelas próprias instituições arquivísticas dentro de suas instalações, quanto outros disponibilizados em sites da internet. Assim, o objetivo deste artigo é averiguar como a digitalização de documentos pode impactar nos velhos desafios do trabalho dos historiadores e historiadoras que pesquisam a ditadura militar brasileira iniciada em 1964. Possíveis soluções e novos dilemas serão debatidos, como a facilidade de acesso e de circulação de materiais, a exposição dos indivíduos citados na documentação, os limites éticos do compartilhamento de documentos, sobre quem recai a responsabilidade de gestão no caso dos arquivos online, etc. Para tanto, terá como fontes base os documentos digitalizados dos acervos da Comissão de Indenização aos Ex-Presos Políticos de Santa Catarina e da antiga Secretaria de Segurança e Informações de SC, utilizados na corrente pesquisa de mestrado do autor, cujo tema é a repressão no estado catarinense ao longo do período ditatorial militar.

Abstract:
Work with documents of the brazilian military dictatorship never is a simple task. Destruction of evidence, appropriation of sources by the military and victims families, materials of the same set spread in different holdings, laws limiting the access to certain documents, fragmentary and incomplete records, among other factors, are some of the difficulties faced by historians involved in researches about the theme – besides ethical issues related to the History of the Present Time and the work with sensible memories. This known context awakens new paradigms when inserted within the actual reality of digital media, with alterations in storage and sharing of files in consequence of the rising number of scanned collections in the last times, be those started by the archival institutions in its installations, as those wichs are available in websites on the internet. Thereby, this article’s objective is to ascertain how the digitalization of documents could impact the old challenges of the historians' work which do researches about the brazilian military dictatorship. Possible solutions and new dilemmas will be discussed, like the easy access and circulation of materials, the exposition of people that are mentioned in the documentation, the ethical limits of share documents, who is responsible for the management of the online archives, etc. Thus, the base sources will be the digitalized documents from the collections of the Indenization’s Committee for the Ex-Political Prisoners of Santa Catarina and from the old Secretary of Security and Information of Santa Catarina, used in the current master’s degree research of this article’s author, which the subject is the political repression in the catarinense state along the dictatorial period.
