Abstract: Education in Mozambique is recognized as a fundamental right and a key instrument for human and social development. This article critically analyzes the values and content outlined in the national curriculum guidelines, in light of the structural and socio-cultural challenges that hinder their implementation. Through document review and theoretical analysis, the main obstacles faced by schools are discussed, with emphasis on unequal access, lack of teacher training, and cultural resistance. The study also highlights positive experiences of community involvement and proposes pathways for the effective integration of educational values into everyday school life.
