Abstract: ABSTRACT: To evaluate the discriminant construct validity of the adapted version of the Family Satisfaction with Care in the Intensive Care Unit FS-ICU 24R according to experiences of health evolution. Method: Methodological study, whose data were collected between October 2021 and January 2022, with 200 relatives of patients who were hospitalized in Intensive Care Units and Cardiology Intensive Care Units, in three hospitals in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Data collection took place through the Research Electronic Data Capture platform. Data were systematized according to the recoding and scoring procedure of the original questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the Statistical Analysis Software program, from a database built using the Excel application. The relationship between satisfaction and retained factors was assessed using the Spearman correlation and the Wilcoxon test. A confidence level of 95% (α = 0.05) was adopted for all tests. Results: It was possible to analyze differences in satisfaction in the domains of the questionnaire when compared to the outcomes of discharge and orotracheal intubation, however, no significant differences were observed between the length of stay in the ICU and the factors. Conclusion: It is concluded that the questionnaire is capable of discriminating the satisfaction of family members from the different groups evaluated.
