Abstract: This article aims primarily to address the effectiveness of the National Water Users Registry (CNRH) in water resourcemanagement, focusing on the context of the state of Bahia. A theoretical and empirical approach was employed, emphasizing the implementation and challenges of CNRH, along with its interconnection with state water resource policies. The article underscoresCNRH's significant importance for sustainable water management, aiming to integrate information and plan actions to tackle conflicts and ensure equitable access to resources. The study also highlights the relevance of initiatives such as mobilization meetings and on-site registrations, crucial for raising water users' awareness and precise data collection. The results reveal the need for integration between management systems, emphasizing alignment between the State Water Users Registry (CERH) and CNRH. This would lead to more effective and enhanced water resource administration. From a theoretical perspective, the study underscores the practical application of water management tools, aiding in the formulation of public policies for a more sustainable future. On the social and environmental front, the article emphasizes the importance of collaboration between government entities and communities to ensure data accuracy and responsible resource usage. Implications encompass more assertive resource management and environmental preservation, contributing to harmonious coexistence between human needs and the ecosystem.
