UTILIZAÇÃO DE PLANTAS MEDICINAIS COMO FERRAMENTA NO ENSINO DE BOTÂNICA EM UMA ESCOLA DO ENSINO MÉDIO, PEDRO II, PIAUÍ, BRASIL
A botânica é uma das áreas da biologia que apresenta maior dificuldade de compreensão de conteúdos pelos alunos. As plantas medicinais se tornaram uma importante ferramenta no ensino de botânica, pois permitem que sejam trabalhados os conhecimentos científicos e populares e possibilitam uma abordagem interdisciplinar. Este trabalho teve como objetivo analisar a utilização de plantas medicinais da horta medicinal e da trilha ecológica no ensino de botânica, no 2º e 3º ano do ensino médio de uma escola, localizada no município de Pedro II, Piauí, Brasil. Na realização desse trabalho foi utilizado os fundamentos da pesquisa qualitativa-quantitativa. Os dados foram obtidos a partir de questionários (pré-teste) e (pós-teste). A análise qualitativa foi realizada através da técnica de análise de conteúdo e a análise quantitativa por procedimentos da estatística descritiva. Foi realizada aula prática na horta medicinal, aula na trilha ecológica, confecção de exsicatas e carpoteca e apresentação dos trabalhos. Após o desenvolvimento das aulas houve aumento do número de respostas completas e corretas baseadas no questionário pós-teste. Verificou-se que os alunos participaram ativamente do processo de ensino e aprendizagem e que o estudo da botânica utilizando as plantas medicinais, tornou-se mais estimulante e possibilitando a associação entre teoria e prática.

Abstract:
Botany is one of the areas of biology that presents the greatest difficulty in understanding content by students. Medicinal plants have become an important tool in the teaching of botany, as they allow scientific knowledge and knowledge to be worked on and enable an interdisciplinary approach. This work aimed to to analyze the use of medicinal plants from the medicinal garden and the ecological trail in teaching botany, in the 2nd and 3rd year of high school at a school, located in the municipality of Pedro II, Piauí, Brazil. In carrying out this work, the foundations of qualitative and quantitative research were used. The data were obtained from questionnaires (pre-test) and (post-test). The analysis qualitative was performed using the content analysis technique and the quantitative analysis by descriptive statistics procedures. A practical class was held in the medicinal garden, ecological trail, making of pressed plants and of fruit and presentation of the works. after the development of classes there was an increase in the number of complete and correct answers based on the post-test questionnaire. It was found that the students actively participated in the teaching and learning process and that the study of botany using medicinal plants, it became more stimulating and enabled the association between theory and practice.
