Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic that devastated the world from the beginning of 2020 to the end of 2021 revealed the ills of the Brazilian educational system, as well as the lack of continuity projects and public policies aimed at digital inclusion programs, access to digital tools, better working conditions and infrastructure for teachers and continuous training/training programs for teachers. The present work aimed to carry out a survey of the state of the art in relation to the countless experiences and experiences carried out by countless researchers in all regions of Brazil in relation to the adversities faced in the teaching-learning process of Biology and Chemistry that were published in periodicals between the years 2020 to 2023. The results showed that even in the face of numerous adversities: i) lack of training/training of teachers for the use of digital tools; ii) lack of financial resources and work materials; iii) lack of access to the internet and acquisition of digital devices by students and; iv) the lack of family support in understanding the content and solving activities, enabled the continuity of the teaching-learning process, which after the pandemic must be reassessed and that massive investments must be made in the different adversities pointed out and that the education is a public policy of continuity.
