UTILIZAÇÃO DE GEOTECNOLOGIAS NA ANÁLISE DE ÁREA DE INUNDAÇÃO ÀS MARGENS DO RIACHO SALGADO NO MUNICÍPIO DE CARUARU - AGRESTE PERNAMBUCANO

Enchentes são eventos naturais que ocorrem as margens de cursos de água, e em períodos de chuvas intensas o nível da água pode atingir a população, causando as inundações. Práticas humanas como impermeabilização do solo e ocupação irregular de leitos dos rios problemas no sistema de drenagem intensificam as cheias. O município de Caruaru, no Agreste Pernambucano possui rios e canais cortando diferentes bairros, onde durante o período concentrado de chuvas o nível da água se eleva causando inundações em diversas áreas da cidade. Esse artigo tem o objetivo de analisar a inundação de um trecho localizado no Município de Caruaru, do Riacho Salgado, situado entre o bairro do Maurício de Nassau e o bairro Universitário, utilizando imagens de alta resolução do Programa Pernambuco Tridimensional (PE3D) e o software HEC-RAS (Hydologic Engineering Center – River Analysis System) determinando o alcance da área inundada num evento pluviométrico de grande intensidade, com a finalidade de auxiliar na tomada de decisões, visando combater os problemas futuros no local.

  • Abstract: Floods are natural events that occur on the banks of watercourses, and in periods of intense rain the water level can reach the population, causing flooding. Human practices such as waterproofing the soil and irregular occupation of riverbeds and drainage system problems intensify the floods. The municipality of Caruaru, in Agreste Pernambucano has rivers and canals crossing different neighborhoods, where during the concentrated rainy season the water level rises causing flooding in several areas of the city. This article aims to analyze the inundation of a stretch located in the Municipality of Caruaru, of Riacho Salgado, located between the neighborhoods, Maurício de Nassau and Universitário, using high resolution images from Programa Pernambuco Tridimensional (PE3D) and HEC-RAS software (Hydologic Engineering Center – River Analysis System) determining the range of the flooded area in a high intensity rainfall event, with the purpose of assisting in decision making, to tackle future problems on the spot.
