UTILIZAÇÃO DA MECANIZAÇÃO AGRICOLA POR AGRICULTORES DA REGIÃO SERRANA DE SANTA CATARINA
A região Serrana de Santa Catarina é formada de médias e grandes propriedades agrícolas e teve a pecuária extensiva e o extrativismo madeireiro como base econômica por muitos anos. Esta Região é a menos populosa e desenvolvida das 6 mesorregiões catarinenses. Em 2013 seu PIB atingiu pouco mais de R$ 7 bilhões, o que equivale a 4,7% do total do PIB catarinense para o mesmo ano. A economia desta região gira em torno das atividades agro-pastoris, com destaque para pecuária de corte, fruticultura e extração da semente de pinhão. Tendo em vista a dificuldade de obter informações técnicas na área de mecanização nesta Região, este trabalho objetivou verificar as necessidades e características do trabalhador rural no que diz respeito a mecanização na região serrana de Santa Catarina. Foram utilizados 21 questionários semi-estruturados. De acordo com a análise dos resultados, concluiu-se que 86% possuem área entre 10 a 20 hectares, quanto à diversidade de atividades produtivas, destaca-se a extração de pinhão com 35% e a produção de hortaliças com 34%. Quanto às máquinas utilizadas, 65% são próprias e 79% responderam que falta maquinas no mercado principalmente para a atividade relacionada com o pinhão.

Abstract:
The mountainous region of Santa Catarina State, which consists of medium and large farms, had extensive livestock farming and timber extraction as an economic base for many years. This region is the least populated and developed from the 6 mesoregions of Santa Catarina. In 2013 its GDP reached just over US $ 7 billion, equivalent to 4.7% of the total of this state's GDP for the same year. The economy of this region revolves around the agro-pastoral activities, especially for beef cattle, horticulture and extraction pinion seed. Given the difficulty of obtaining technical information on mechanization by farmers in this region, this study aimed to determine the needs and characteristics of rural workers with regard to mechanization in the mountainous region of Santa Catarina. 21 semi-structured questionnaires were used. According to the analysis of the results, it was concluded that 86% has area from 10 to 20 hectares, about the diversity of productive activities, pinion extraction stands out with 35% and vegetable production with 34%. As for the used machines, 65% are owned and 79% said that machines are lacking on the market, mainly for the activity related to the pinion.
