UTILIZAÇÃO DA MANTA ASFÁLTICA COMO IMPERMEABILIZANTE DE LAJES EXPOSTAS VISANDO A REDUÇÃO DE PROBLEMAS E CUSTOS
O sistema de impermeabilização flexível
em lajes de cobertura mais adotado atualmente
são as mantas asfálticas devido à facilidade de
sua aplicação e da uniformidade do material. No
entanto, a aplicação incorreta da manta resulta em
infiltrações e patologias, por isso, o seu uso deve
ser analisado no instante em que o projeto estiver
sendo elaborado. Um levantamento realizado por
MORAES (2002) na cidade de Porto Alegre (RS)
mostra quais os fatores que levam ao surgimento
de problemas na impermeabilização em lajes de
cobertura. Baseado nisso, apresenta-se neste
artigo o desempenho das mantas asfálticas
levando em conta que o projeto deve ser adequado
para ter a capacidade do produto aliado ao seu
bom comportamento. Ademais, no levantamento
utilizou-se questionários que foram enviados
aos técnicos que atuam na construção civil e
concluiu-se que as construtoras não se utilizam
de traços especiais para execução do concreto
nas lajes, já as concreteiras deixam a disposição
do cliente e, por fim, os aplicadores afirmam que
não existe projeto de impermeabilização em obras
já executadas. Assim, será descrito qual a melhor
forma de usar a manta asfáltica para minimizar
os problemas de impermeabilização em lajes de
cobertura visando à redução dos custos.

Abstract:
The waterproofing system flexible slabs
cover most adopted currently are the mats on the
asphalt due to the ease of its application and of the
uniformity of the material. However, the incorrect
application of the blanket results in infiltration
and pathologies, therefore, its use should be
analyzed at the moment in which the project is
being prepared. A survey conducted by MORAES
(2002) in the city of Porto Alegre (RS) shows which
factors lead to the emergence of problems in the
waterproofing on slabs of coverage. Based on that,
presents in this article the performance of asphalt
blankets taking into account that the design
should be appropriate for the ability of the product
allied to their good behavior. In addition, in the
survey used questionnaires which were sent to the
technicians who work in the civil construction and
concluded that the contractors do not use special
traits for the execution of concrete in the slabs, the

concrete producers leave the disposal of the client and, finally, the workers claim that there
is no waterproofing design in the works already executed. Thus, it will be described how is
the best way to use the asphalt blankets to minimize the waterproofing problems on slabs
of coverage in order to reduce costs.
