USO DO PRONTUÁRIO ODONTOLÓGICO NO SERVIÇO PÚBLICO SOB A ÓTICA DE COORDENADORES DE SAÚDE BUCAL
O prontuário odontológico é um
documento de importância clínica, cível e
jurídica e engloba toda a documentação
necessária para que o profissional exerça
sua função corretamente. O mesmo contém
informações relativas à saúde bucal e geral do
paciente, auxiliando no diagnóstico, elaboração
do plano de tratamento e execução deste. O
presente estudo teve como objetivo analisar o
nível de conhecimento dos participantes sobre
o prontuário odontológico, bem como em que
momentos do preenchimento e guarda deste
há um maior número de falhas. A amostra do
estudo baseou-se nos municípios pertencentes
à 8ª Coordenadoria Regional de Saúde do
Estado. Os nove coordenadores de saúde bucal
receberam em seus e-mails um questionário
com doze perguntas de múltipla escolha que
deveriam ser respondidas e reenviadas aos
pesquisadores. Dentre os resultados obtidos,
os mais relevantes mostram que apenas 33,3%
(n=3) dos participantes afirmaram ser eterno
o tempo de guarda dos documentos, 55,5%
(n=5) afirmaram que a entrega do prontuário
ao paciente é obrigatória, mas apenas 33,3%
(n=3) preocuparam-se em ficar com uma cópia.
66,7% (n=6) disseram ser apenas o profissional
o responsável por responder em casos de
processos judiciais. Conclui-se, portanto, que
os profissionais têm consciência da importância
desses documentos e de seus deveres enquanto
coordenadores de saúde bucal. Contudo, ainda existem muitas dúvidas tratando-se de
tempo de guarda e posse desses registros.

Abstract:
The dental records chart is a document of clinical, civil and legal
importance, it includes all the documentation necessary for the professional to perform
his function correctly, it contains information regarding the patient’s general and oral
health, assisting in the diagnosis, elaboration of the treatment plan and execution of
this. The present study aimed to analyze the level of knowledge of the participants
about the dental records chart, as well as in which moments of filling and guarding
of this there are a greater number of failures. The sample of the study was based on
the municipalities belonging to the 8th Regional Health Coordination of the State. 09
oral health coordinators received a questionnaire in their e-mails with twelve multiple
choice questions that should be answered and sent back to the researchers. Among
the results, the most relevant are that only 33.3% (n = 3) of the participants stated that
the time to keep the documents was everlasting, 55.5% (n = 5) stated that the delivery
to patient chart is mandatory, but only 33.3% (n = 3) were concerned about keeping
a copy, 66.7% (n = 6) said that only the professional is responsible for responding to
legal cases. Therefore, it is concluded that professionals are aware of the importance
of these documents and their duties as coordinators of oral health, however there are
still many doubts regarding the time of custody and possession of these records.
