Abstract: The objective of the research work is to determine the effects of the use of GeoGebra software in the meaningful learning of the quadratic functions, in students of the Franciscan School San Román, with the purpose of optimizing the academic performance of the students of the Franciscan Educational Institution San Roman. The research design that has been assumed is the quasi-experimental for the application of GeoGebra software, looking for the interaction in its learning process referred to the application of GeoGebra software in solving quadratic equations problems. For the collection of information, the test of knowledge of quadratic equations has been used. The research sample has been conformed by the fifth grade students of the San Roman Franciscan Educational Institution. The results of the research show that of the 100% of students in the sample of the experimental group, 23% are in the very good category in relation to the students of the control group, that 8% is in the very good category
