USO DE UM SIMULADOR INTERATIVO PARA O ESTUDO QUALITATIVO DO CONCEITO DE DENSIDADE
Este trabalho se refere a uma atividade prática desenvolvida com um simulador interativo, que foi realizada priorizando uma abordagem qualitativa do conceito de densidade. Segundo pesquisadores, o ensino da densidade é muito centrado em abordagens quantitativas, o que possibilita a aprendizagem da definição de densidade, em detrimento do conceito. Após esta atividade, os estudantes responderam a um questionário como forma de avaliar o potencial do uso do simulador e também a aprendizagem deste conceito. Concluiu-se que uso do simulador tem grande potencial de uso para estudo da mesma; que no ensino fundamental não ocorrem estudos que permitem a construção deste conceito; e que apesar do uso do simulador interativo associado às práticas experimentais, muitos estudantes permaneceram utilizando a definição para explicar a densidade, em detrimento da apropriação do conceito, o que demonstra que o conceito precisa se melhor desenvolvido ao longo do período de escolarização básica.

Abstract:
This work refers to a practical activity developed with an interactive simulator which was carried out prioritizing a qualitative approach to the concept of density. According to researchers, the teaching of density, is very centered on quantitative approaches, which makes it possible to learn the definition of density, to the detriment of the concept. After this activity, students answered a questionnaire as a way to assess the potential of using the simulator and also to learn this concept. It was concluded that the use of the simulator has great potential for its study. That in elementary education there are no studies that allow the construction of this concept; and that despite the use of the interactive simulator associated with experimental practices, many students continued to use the definition to explain density, to the detriment of the appropriation of the concept, which demonstrates that the concept needs to be better developed throughout the period of basic schooling.
