USO DE SÍMBOLOS RELIGIOSOS NO SERVIÇO PÚBLICO
O presente artigo tem como objetivo analisar a utilização de símbolos religiosos no serviço público, especialmente sob a ótica do Direito Brasileiro. Para tanto, foi analisado o que se trata o símbolo em geral, a sua utilização, os seus efeitos potenciais e o seu emprego como meio de expressão religiosa, bem como se discorreu sobre a distinção dos tipos de relacionamento entre Estado e Religião. O estudo do uso de símbolos sob a ótica do Direito Brasileiro passou pela indicação do tratamento constitucional da Religião, de como esse tratamento pauta o relacionamento com o Estado no Brasil e das soluções de casos levados a julgamento nas Cortes brasileiras. Ao analisou-se essas soluções a fim de concluir se elas seriam as mais adequadas e foram indicados outros possíveis desfechos.

Abstract:
This article aims to analyze the use of religious symbols in the public service, especially under the Brazilian Law. To do so, we will analyze what the symbol in general is about, its use, its potential effects and its use as a means of religious expression, as well as on the distinction between the types of relationship between State and Religion. The study of the use of symbols from the point of view of Brazilian Law will include the indication of the constitutional treatment of Religion, how this treatment guides the relationship with the State in Brazil and the solutions of cases brought to trial in the Brazilian Courts. We will analyze these solutions in order to determine if they are the most appropriate and indicate other possible outcomes.
