Abstract: The aim of this work was evaluate the influence of the use of biological sludge from wastewater treatment plant of a rice industry in tomato cultivation and its influence on residual concentration of tebuconazole in tomato and soil, and its influence on the microbial activity of the soil. The experiments were carrying out during 90 days applying a composite central design (CCD) totalizing 10 experiments. Tomato seedlings were cultivated in soil containing different concentrations of biological sludge and tebuconazole was applied in different concentrations, according to experimental design. Residual concentrations of tebuconazole in tomato and soil as well basal respiration and carbon microbial biomass in soil were determined. The results showed the biological sludge from rice industry destined to tomato cultivation increase the quality of soil, although it did not interfere with tebuconazole residues in the soil and tomatoes during the experiments.
