USO DE HIPOGLICEMIANTES ORAIS NO DIABETES MELLITUS GESTACIONAL: UMA REVISÃO DOS ASPECTOS CLÍNICOS E CONCEITUAIS
O Diabetes Mellitus Gestacional (DMG) é o protagonista das patologias metabólicas que ocorrem na gravidez. A patologia é explicada por condições genéticas, fisiológicas e ambientais. Estima-se que no Brasil haja uma prevalência entre 2,4 a 5,7% das gestações. A temática envolve diversas complicações que a hiperglicemia materna pode trazer para mãe e bebê, justificando a importância desse trabalho para o adequado manejo de gestantes com DMG. A metodologia de desenvolvimento baseou-se em uma busca eletrônica nas bases de dados em saúde, como a BVS, Google Acadêmico, NCBI, Research Gate, SCIELO e utilizou como palavra-chave: diabetes mellitus gestacional, tratamento, hipoglicemiantes, diabetes gestacional, além das suas correspondências na língua inglesa, reunindo artigos e livros publicados entre os anos de 2002 a 2018. Evidências indicam que intervenções farmacológicas e não farmacológicas em grávidas com DMG pode diminuir a ocorrência de eventos adversos. Diante disso, o controle da glicemia materna em gestantes com DMG é essencial a fim de reduzir ou evitar tais desfechos.

Abstract:
Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM) is the protagonist of the metabolic pathologies that occur during pregnancy. The pathology is explained by genetic, physiological and environmental conditions. It is estimated that in Brazil there is a prevalence between 2,4% and 5.7% of pregnancies. The theme involves several complications that maternal hyperglycemia can bring to mother and baby, justifying the importance of this work for the adequate management of pregnant women with GDM. The development methodology was based on an electronic search in health databases such as BVS, Google Scholar, NCBI, Research Gate, SCIELO and used as a key word: gestational diabetes mellitus, treatment, hypoglycemic agents, gestational diabetes, in addition to their correspondence in the English language, bringing together articles and books published between the years of 2002 and 2018. Evidence indicates that pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions in pregnant women with GDM can reduce the occurrence of adverse events. Therefore, the control of maternal glycemia in pregnant women with GDM is essential in order to reduce or avoid such outcomes.
