Abstract: The rapid evolution of digital technology, accentuated by the COVID-19 pandemic, has transformed education, highlighting the use of home office and remote teaching. This study investigated the impact of the use of computers and the internet on the study practices of biomedicine students at UEPA. Using a quantitative approach, responses from 60 students were collected and analyzed using an online questionnaire. The results showed that students consider the internet essential for their studies, as the main source of research, with increased productivity and academic performance, however, many reported distractions and procrastination; reported that ease of access to online information increased motivation and independence in academic research; recognize that institutional support regarding the availability of technological resources is essential. Technology in education presents benefits and challenges that directly influence the students' learning process.
