USO DE COMPUTADOR E INTERNET NAS PRÁTICAS DE ESTUDO DE ACADÊMICOS DE UMA UNIVERSIDADE NA AMAZÔNIA

A rápida evolução da tecnologia digital, acentuada pela pandemia de COVID-19, transformou a educação, destacando-se o uso de home office e ensino remoto. Este estudo investigou o impacto do uso de computadores e internet nas práticas de estudo dos alunos de biomedicina da UEPA. Utilizando uma abordagem quantitativa, foram coletadas e analisadas respostas de 60 alunos por meio de um questionário online. Os resultados evidenciaram que os alunos consideram a internet essencial para os estudos, como a principal fonte de pesquisa, com aumento de produtividade e desempenho acadêmico, no entanto, muitos relataram distrações e procrastinação; relataram que a facilidade de acesso a informações online aumentou a motivação e a independência na pesquisa acadêmica; reconhecem que o apoio institucional quanto à disponibilização de recursos tecnológicos é fundamental. A da tecnologia na educação, apresenta benefícios e desafios que influenciam diretamente o processo de aprendizagem dos estudantes.

  • Abstract: The rapid evolution of digital technology, accentuated by the COVID-19 pandemic, has transformed education, highlighting the use of home office and remote teaching. This study investigated the impact of the use of computers and the internet on the study practices of biomedicine students at UEPA. Using a quantitative approach, responses from 60 students were collected and analyzed using an online questionnaire. The results showed that students consider the internet essential for their studies, as the main source of research, with increased productivity and academic performance, however, many reported distractions and procrastination; reported that ease of access to online information increased motivation and independence in academic research; recognize that institutional support regarding the availability of technological resources is essential. Technology in education presents benefits and challenges that directly influence the students' learning process.
